Are you thinking of upgrading the audio visual (AV) equipment in your teaching spaces? Are you looking for guidance or support for audio-visual technology for teaching or administration? Or do you need to increase the quality of your hybrid meetings but you are not sure how?
There is now a central AV Support Service based in IT Services that can offer advice, guidance, and support with all these questions and more!
How the new AV Support Service can help
Formed in Spring 2023, the AV Support Service has already assisted colleagues across Oxford University with a range of issues, from getting hybrid meeting rooms up and running and improving the audio quality in teaching spaces, through to consulting on plans for major refits. One happy customer, who we helped set up Teams meeting rooms for, told us:
Amazing, thank you! And thank you for all your support and guidance. It would have all been a disaster without you!
Alongside this support, the Service has hosted several events, bringing University staff and suppliers together to get hands-on with the latest equipment. The topics of these events have been suggested by academic and support staff across the University, so if you have a particular problem you are grappling with, or a certain area of technology that you would be interested in learning more about, please get in touch.
Our AV Support Service webpage is being developed into an essential portal for advice about a range of topics, providing guidance, training, and technical standards, so please check back from time to time.
Getting in touch
During term times the team is focussed on supporting the AV equipment in a variety of shared teaching spaces across the University. However, the team has recently expanded and is now able to offer increasing levels of support and expertise across an even wider range of AV projects.
If you think you would benefit from advice from the AV Support Service team, get in touch by e-mail at av-support@it.ox.ac.uk to find out more about how we can help.
