On 5 March 2021, the current security certificate for connecting to eduroam Wi-Fi will be retired and a new certificate will take effect. This means that everyone connecting to eduroam using a laptop, phone or tablet computer will need to reconfigure the Wi-Fi of their device to keep using eduroam. It shouldn't take long and you can do this immediately – there is no need to wait until you return to the University.
How to update your eduroam settings
The easiest way to reconfigure your Wi-Fi is to go to the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT) and follow the device-specific instructions that will appear on screen.
For mobile devices, Android users will find it most straightforward to download and run the eduroam CAT app.
iOS users should visit the CAT installer using the Safari web browser and follow the instructions from there.
