From September 2022, WebLearn will be closed for general use and the service will be withdrawn at the beginning of 2023. Canvas should be suitable for most teaching and learning activities, but please visit the WebLearn Overview page to find other suggested alternatives to WebLearn for these activities.
As part of the ongoing decommissioning of WebLearn, the following functionality will no longer be available from 25 July 2022. Creation of new:
The following features were withdrawn earlier this year:
- Assignments
- New quizzes
- Gradebook items
- Forums
- Calendar entries
- Sign up events
- Creation of polls, chat sessions, email lists and syllabus
- Sending email messages from WebLearn using the Messages tool
- Using news feeds (RSS) in WebLearn
