As you know, as part of the University’s response to the Coronavirus, all teaching will move online for Trinity Term 2020. For those of you currently using WebLearn, we recommend that, where practical, you continue to use it for Trinity Term and adapt it for remote teaching with new resources and tools. A support service has been set up to provide help and guidance – please email remote@ctl.ox.ac.uk to submit your request.
Future plans
IT Services is planning to review the situation regarding WebLearn in July - we will then let you know the new timeframe for retiring WebLearn for teaching and learning.
We understand that many departments have new, additional demands on them at the moment. We therefore want to reassure you that the original goal of retiring WebLearn for teaching and learning at the end of 2020 has now been paused pending the review in July.
What about Canvas?
The Canvas roll-out is continuing and we encourage those departments and Faculties currently working with the Canvas team, and that still have capacity, to continue with the transition to Canvas as planned if at all possible.
