The Media Production Manager will not only operate as an integral part of the media production team but will also plan and manage work allocation, priorities, schedules and supporting activities for the team.

Experience managing a small team and providing line management to team members
A thorough technical knowledge of professional cameras, sound and lighting equipment
An eye for creative development – essential for material gathering and edit decisions
Excellent research and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills with a confident command of written and spoken English
Experience of designing and delivering training in media production techniques.
Excellent interpersonal skills and to show a pleasant 'can-do' manner and attitude to staff and students at all levels of the University
Ability to organise, manage and prioritise own time and workload, and that of a team
AV production skills and expert technical knowledge of audio and video recording equipment
Demonstrable skills and knowledge to give expert advice on media production
Significant experience in managing media production as part of a busy work environment, preferably within an educational environment
Up-to-date hands-on experience of media production techniques, computer troubleshooting and problem resolution
Experience with Apple Mac applications, Photoshop, word processing and databases
Proven editing skills using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Avid, Media 100 or similar
Computer literacy to include confident use of standard office applications, web and email, as well as spreadsheets and databases for monitoring projects
