This important role is critical to ensuring that the University is getting the best value for money possible from site-licenced software deals that are available to it through various local and national frameworks and for ensuring that these deals are accessible across the University via the IT Services online shop.
The role involves dealing with IT staff and others across the whole University to provide licensing advice, to broker deals and to help departments share software costs where economies of scale can be achieved. You’ll also get to know our key suppliers and will need to be able to maintain relationships with them in partnership with the University’s Central Purchasing team in Finance Division.
The IT Services online shop is our main 'shop window' to the University and its function provides income to IT Services as well as a way for University members, colleges, faculties and departments to purchase services, items and software from IT Services.
